1.The first that everyone will agree to is pirating.cameroon music industry is facing probably the highiest rate of pirating in AFRICA.there exist more pirating firms in camer than there exist production companies.
2.The cameroonain afinity for "njooo" is unquenchable.This so so much so bad that a cameroonian already feels that music is to be free that removing your money to buy a cd or download is foolishness cos there must be a way to get it free and get it free they can as many methods are popular .....which brings us to the next point
3.Cloosely related to the above is the availability of many ways to get free music.be it bluetooth,transfer from computer to phone,sharing of cds,renting,unuathorised public broadcast you name it.all this has made it possible for poeple to get FREE acess content that is supposed to be paid for.
4.A lack of a proper network distribution has made it hard for artist and producers to get the reward that is due because even poeple who want to support thier artist dont even know where to get acess to thier products becuase of of poor didtribution network.well the question you would ask is who is soppose to create this network or you might say there is no money,well the following point mite answer your question or change ur mind in either cases
5.As examined in this blog 4days back its but right to close our countdown with the biggiest of them all.which is the LACK OF LOCAL SUPPORT both from sponsors and from fans.this is eveident in the amount of money sponsors spend to bring foriegn artist to cameroon for only a single concert.e.g 400million spent to bring akon to camroon for a single concert.its even more disturbing to find out that a cameroonian will spend 90percent of his time with music to listen to foriegn artist.e.g P sqare are more popular in cameroon than the president.yes i can say so and bet on it.
