SOPHY AIIDA is
a French-Cameroonian Actress , TV Host and Humanitarian based in New
York City. Her professional career started in 2008, during the “African
Dance Exhibition” in Washington D.C where she was one of the two main
host. The show gathered about one thousand people of African Descent at
the “Crampton Auditorium” in Howard University, where six teams from all
around the U.S competed for the place of Best African Dance Team.
Since then Sophy has been requested to host and interview the biggest stars on Red Carpet events around the world.
From
covering the World Cup in South Africa and hosting the AEF Fashion Show
at Columbia University in 2010, to doing Backstage interviews at the
Nigerian Entertainment Awards in 2011 and Hosting the Red Carpet for the
Afrotainment Museke Awards also in 2011 just to name a few, Sophy Aiida
has done it all.
In
late 2009 she embarked on her philanthropic journey by starting "The
Nakande's Project" with her co-founder Olivia Ngou. As she always felt
the need to give back ever since she was a child, she knew when they
decided to incorporate the organization that the time had come for her
to create some change. Ever since then Nakande has been growing stronger
each and everyday thanks to the fabulous team of exceptional young
women working along side Oliva and her.
Today
after the release of her latest project the “award nominated” movie
“Unwanted Guest” and a nomination as best actress in a leading role at
the NFCA Awards, Sophy Aiida is embarking on a new journey with the
production of her brand new show called “THAT REAL TALK with Sophy Aiida”.
